2015 Fuling Reunion
Have Fun in Xian
|
|
First to Xian, where kids will see the terracotta warriors, ride bikes along the city's walls, and enjoy the rich culture of this historic city. Sharing the Homecoming with with Kids Adopted from Fuling There is a special bond between children adopted from Fuling.
The trip is an opportunity for kids to experience their first home in
China with other children who were born in the Fuling surroundings and cared for by the same staff and at the same orphanage. Whenever possible, the children will be invited to taste, try and interact. The trip is meant to give children positive memories and a better understanding of what it means to be Chinese. |
Returning Fulingers
Hold and Feed Babies at the New Orphanage Children see where they lived as babies at the old orphanage. They meet their caregivers and, if it is possible to arrange, their foster parents. They can meet kids who live at the orphanage, roam through the colorful baby rooms and play on the orphanage grounds. The orphanage staff and caregivers will be on hand to welcome and talk with the children and families, so children can learn what their first months or years in Fuling were like. What's It Like to Be a Kid in Fuling? Along with spending time at the
orphanage, children and their families will have the chance to eat at Fuling
restaurants and play in the city. Since many of the children were
likely born in the countryside, seeing village life is an important part
of the week. They spend a day in the mountainous, beautiful
countryside. Providing information for children is important to families. Children will see the room in at the CCAA where parents and waiting babies are matched and meet senior staff in charge of that important work. Parents can arrange to see their child's complete and original adoption file in Chongqing. If the child had a foster parent, parents may request the opportunity to meet the foster parent. Quality time at the orphanage is also meant to give parents and siblings a window into their Fulinger's first months or years before they became a family. |
We tend with heart to orphanage needs and foster a community for children adopted from Fuling. http://fulingkids.org
